Traditional prescription lenses are cast in molds and then shaped. This process does not make it possible to take special characteristics of the individual wearer into account. Vision also deteriorates as you move away from the optic center. This effect is particularly intolerable for those who wear sports glasses.

ImpactRX lens is a custom made, personalized lens surfaced to the highest level of optical accuracy (up to 1/100 diopters) designed exclusively for Rudy Project frames. Thanks to a sophisticated program of calculation, the customization is not “just” limited to considering the wearer’s parameters (RX, PD, FH), but goes on to directly combine them with the shape of the lenses of the glasses. This process provides 20 percent wider fields of vision in all zones by bringing the design closer to the eye. This particular working process is an absolute novelty in the sector of ophthalmic optics applied to sports, and is seen as a reference point in the customization of eyeglass lenses. The aim of the process is to boost the individual’s performance to the maximum, limiting the disturbing influence of any prismatic effects and containing the effect of 1st degree aberrations (spherical and chromatic). ImpactRX lenses are also available in single vision and progressive version, offering the same level of precision optics to all prescription wearers.
