Rudy Project will once again be the official supplier of sunglasses for all the participants in the latest sleddog winter adventure which will take place from the 2nd to the 5th of April on the Scandinavian peninsula.
The Fjällräven Polar race, which is in its tenth edition this year, unwinds over nine stages, beginning from Signaldalen on the coasts of the Arctic Sea and extending onwards as far as the famous icehotel in Jukkasjärvi. Men and women from twelve national teams will participate in the event on board sleighs drawn by “Alaskan Malamute” dogs.
Rudy Project will supply technical sunglasses for the event in three different ranges: Kalyos, Ekynox Sx and Rydon, all of which are equipped with new ImpactX photochromatic lenses with unique characteristics. These lenses take advantage of NXT®, a material that is part of a family of patented optical polyurethane polymers which are transparent and shatterproof and which guarantee excellent optical qualities in terms of lightness and durability. Thanks to the latest generation photochromatic polarized technology, these lenses have a superior visual clearness in all weather conditions, making images appear clearer and more defined with a limitation of the rainbow effect and an increase in visual comfort. These lenses were tested this year by Rudy Project in the –40° temperatures of the Fjällräven race and the +40° temperatures of the Australian Open. All of this will guarantee comfort and protection to anyone who decides to avail of the technology offered by the ImpactX lenses.
