Rudy Project wins the 43th Barcolana with Esimit Europa 2

An exceptional start, with an average of over 17 knots, and a solitary ride from the first buoy. And then a perfect race. This is how the Esimit Europa 2, Igor Simcic's European flagged maxi-yacht, won the 43rd Barcolana Autumn Regatta, along with Olympic champion Jochen Schuemann as skipper, which this year had 1,761 entrants. A race where the rivals were left trailing and braved with the support of the new Rudy Project Sailing eyewear collection, notable for unique technical features like the hydrophobic lenses that prevent water from remaining on the lens.

For the fifth straight year Rudy Project participated in the 43rd Barcolana as official supplier of the event. "Barcolana is a must for us - said Simone Barbazza, marketing manager of the Treviso office - because it is a race that reflects the spirit of Rudy Project. The Barcolana - Barbazza points out - is everyone's regatta, professional and amateur sailors alike. Our sunglasses are also revered by top circuit sailors as well as sea and sailing enthusiasts. The performance of our eyewear - he concludes - is studied and developed in collaboration with sports champions, but they are ideal for all levels of performance".
